Scott Neal, MS, CRC, CRP – Cost Containment Manager
Scott Neal joined VACORP in 2008 as the Manager of Cost Containment Programs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Radford University and a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Medical College of Virginia. He has been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Rehabilitation Provider since 1999. Scott has more than ten years’ experience providing rehabilitation counseling to individuals with disabilities and catastrophic injuries. Scott has assisted in implementing multiple cost-containment initiatives to benefit VACORP members, including the Nurse Case Management program, Company Nurse On-Call, and various medical bill reduction and mitigation strategies.
Linda Sierra Carey, CRC, CRP, LPC – Rehabilitation Consultant
Linda has been with VACORP since 2014. Bilingual in Spanish and English, she is a licensed professional counselor, certified rehabilitation counselor, brain injury specialist, and mental health therapist. She is working on her Ph.D. in psychology at North Central University. She earned a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Medical College of Virginia in 2002 and a bachelor of science in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Nancy Waldman-Chaney, M.Ed., CRC, CRP – Nurse Case Manager
Nancy joined VACORP in 2013. She has been in casework management since 1989. She has in-depth knowledge of all healthcare and social work disciplines. She takes a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach with physicians, attorneys, claimants, and ancillary providers. Her experience in risk management places her focus on maximizing rehabilitation potential through proactive case management.
Samantha Ruppert, MS, CRC, CRP, LPC – Nurse Case Manager
Samantha Ruppert joined our team in September 2017 as a Rehabilitation Consultant. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Radford University and a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the Medical College of Virginia. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Certified Rehabilitation Provider. Samantha has over 15 years experience providing rehabilitation counseling to individuals with disabilities, specializing in TBI/SCI, veteran population, and workers’ compensation claims. Prior to joining our team, she held positions with Paralyzed Veterans of America, Genex, and the Department of Rehabilitation Services.
