Michael is a veteran leader in public education who joined our team in 2020 after completing 34 years in Virginia school divisions, most recently serving as COO of Norfolk City Schools and Superintendent of Surry County Public Schools. He holds a doctorate in educational leadership and policy from Virginia Tech. Michael also served in senior leadership roles with Williamsburg-James City County Schools, Hampton City Schools, and Hanover County Schools. He resides in Eastern Virginia.
