This type of coverage is a combination of what are commonly known as Errors and Omissions and Directors and Officers coverage in the traditional insurance industry. However, because we cover more school divisions in the commonwealth than any other provider, we tailor our coverage to cater to the specific needs of our members. We include coverage for defense costs for certain excluded wrongful acts, including fraud and dishonesty, profit and gain, violation of statute, employee benefit plans, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, asbestos hazard emergency response act, and land use/eminent domain. We even provide defense coverage for administrative complaints from the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) before they become lawsuits.
