Eric is a veteran leader in public education who joined our team after more than 30 years serving Virginia school divisions, most recently as Division Superintendent of Augusta County Schools. He steps into his new role as a School Specialist after also serving on the VAcorp Supervisory Board. Over the course of his career, Eric has held leadership roles at the school and division level, with experience across instruction, operations, and personnel. Eric received his doctorate in educational leadership and policy studies from Virginia Tech and his master’s degree in education from the University of Virginia. He has served on numerous boards and committees, including as past chair and vice chair of the Region V Superintendents group, was named Region V Superintendent of the Year in 2022, and served as a member of the Virginia General Assembly Joint Committee to Study the Future of Public Education.
