Daily Funds Management

VACORP’s Transaction Account (012) enables member credit unions to settle all daily activity via one account. All automated settlement transactions such as ACH activity, debit/credit card transactions, share draft activity, etc. flow through this main settlement account. Members seeking a higher yield are encouraged to transfer excess balances to our high yielding Overnight Investment Account (non-transaction). Credit Unions can access their Transaction Account (012) via Open Door or by calling Member Services at 1.888.4VACORP.

Overnight Investment Account

Keep Funds Liquid While Earning Competitive Rates

VACORP’s Overnight Investment Account (020) has proven to be one of our most popular services. This account allows credit unions to place all liquid, daily excess funds with VACORP while keeping exposure low, earnings high and administration at a minimum.

VACORP’s Overnight Investment Account allows credit unions to earn more on liquid funds by transferring funds into this non-transaction account.

Transfers to and from the Overnight Transaction Account can be initiated via Open Door or by calling Member Services at 1.888.4VACORP.

Cherry Account

The Cherry Account ~ The newest investment account available to members through VACORPDirect!

Some specifics on the Cherry Account :

  • Share account with a competitive, variable rate
  • Dividend calculated daily, posted monthly
  • $100,000 minimum
  • $1,000,000 maximum
  • 30 day notice for withdrawal

Membership Capital Account

VACORP’s Full Membership Capital Account gives member credit union’s access to all of VACORP’s correspondent and investment services. Credit unions can invest a percentage of assets into VACORP’s MCA program. This investment allows VACORP members to access lines of credit on the credit union’s behalf. In return for the capital investment, member credit unions also receive liquidity services and a competitive rate of return.

MCSD requirement based on assets:

  • 1% of first $50 million in assets
  • $500,000 + 1/4% of $50-100 million in assets
  • $625,000 + 1/8% of $100-200 million in assets
  • $750,000 + 1/10% of $200-500 million in assets
  • $1,050,000 + 1/12% of assets over $500 million
  • $10,000,000 maximum MCSD contribution
