We know your needs because we’ve been in your shoes. As a member-owned and member-governed risk pool, we have an intimate knowledge of the niche sectors that we serve. All of our members have a voice in the pool’s decisions and direct access to our leadership. We answer to a board elected from within our membership that contains several school superintendents. In addition, we have several former school superintendents on staff at VACORP who understand your priorities and know how best to service your needs.

VAcorp strives to address the risk exposures you face with appropriate limits at a deductible that works for you. But beyond writing your coverages and handling your claims, VAcorp also offers risk control services to help you prevent losses before they occur. Our Risk Control Consultants can conduct physical walkthroughs of your facilities to assess them from a safety and liability perspective or assist you in creating and updating relevant policies and procedures. They also provide in-service training to many of our members on an annual basis.
Most of our members prefer in-person training before the school year begins, but we are more than happy to visit throughout the year for periodic safety refreshers as well. And we aim to make training as convenient for you as possible by offering various formats including live virtual training, pre-recorded customized webinars, and school-specific safety videos available to stream instantaneously online.
